Are you truly surrendered? Does something continue to keep rearing it's ugly head?

A Meditation for Prone Postures

Prone Yoga Poses are poses done lying on our belly. They
allow us to literally "lay it all down."  Surrender our will and simply throw in our towel. It is a time to rest in His presence and hear His voice. Let the silence bring you to His voice.

Cobra Pose (Bhujangasana)

Psalms 139 is an amazing chapter that you can meditate on in any posture but specifically appropriate for lying down in His presence.

Psalms 139

O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know when I sit down and when I rise up;

You understand my thought from afar. You scrutinize my path and my lying down,
And are intimately acquainted with all my ways.

Even before there is a word on my tongue,

Behold, O Lord, You know it all. You have enclosed me behind and before,
And laid Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is too high, I cannot attain to it.
Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there.
If I take the wings of the dawn, If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, Even there Your hand will lead me,
And Your right hand will lay hold of me. If I say, “Surely the darkness will overwhelm me,
And the light around me will be night,” Even the darkness is not dark to You, And the night is as bright as the day. Darkness and light are alike to You.

For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb.

I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well.
My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth;
Your eyes have seen my unformed substance;
And in Your book were all written
The days that were ordained for me,
When as yet there was not one of them.
How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand.
When I awake, I am still with You.
Search me, O God, and know my heart;
Try me and know my anxious thoughts;
And see if there be any hurtful way in me,
And lead me in the everlasting way.

REFINE { to purify }
re·fine
to bring to a fine or a pure state; free from impurities: to refine metal, sugar, or petroleum. To purify from what is coarse, vulgar,
    make elegant or cultured.
    to bring to a finer state or form by purifying
To make more fine, subtle, or precise
to become pure.
To become more fine, elegant, or polished.

The prophet Zechariah wrote these words of the Lord“…but a third will be left in the land I will bring that group through the fire and make them pure, just as gold and silver are refined and purified by fire. They will call on my name, and I will answer them. I will say, ‘These are my people,’ and they will say, ‘The Lord is our God.’Zech 13:8-9

1 Peter 1:7

So that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 48:10

Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tried you in the furnace of affliction.

1 Peter 5:10

And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

Job 23:10

But he knows the way that I take; when he has tried me, I shall come out as gold.

1 Peter 1:6

In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials,

Proverbs 17:3 The crucible is for silver, and the furnace is for gold, and the Lord tests hearts.

REFINE is to Purify, a lengthy and often painful process

                                               REVERSE WARRIOR POSE                                                               (VIPARITA VIRABHADRASANA)

Do you feel as if you are being sifted like fine flour? Well, you are. Even though it doesn't feel great, I promise you this is GOOD NEWS!

Refining flour, sugar, or gold is a major process that takes a "bit" of time.
 Be encouraged through the process.
Let God shake and shift all that is not necessary in your life so you can live the life He has planned for you.

It's painful to die to self. This is the refining process and the final product will be worth the pain!
Remember the silver and it's maker? The maker continues to place the silver into the fire, repeatedly burning off the imperfections until He can see His own reflection.
