No Secrets in the Secret Place

God is only as big as you believe Him to be. Do you believe that He is as big as your secret sin? Do you believe that your God is bigger than your secret dream? Your answer is yes, or no. Your God, created the Universes with one Word. He breathed entire galaxies with one exhale! He intricately weaved you together, formed you in your mother's womb, and saw every fiber of your being before you even had eyes! To somewhat grasp how much he loves you and cares about the details of your life, read Psalms 139. Oh! How He loves you friend! He is interested in you, your secrets, and your dreams. Are you interested in His secrets?  His dreams for you?
He Who Dwells in the Secret Place
He Who Dwells in the Secret Place

Psalms 91 is my life scripture. I am brought back to it by the question of, "Do you believe God is bigger than your secret sin? Do you believe He is bigger than your secret dreams?"
From the Amplified Psalms 91:1-2 reads this way;

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand]. I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust! (emphasis mine)

About 10 years ago, I was in a deep state of depression. When all I had left was God, He met me on the hardwood floor of my bedroom in North Portland. He had never left. He had been waiting for my return. I am a prodigal daughter. You are a prodigal son or daughter. We all return at some point. My coming home to His arms and His secret place was in 2004. He had me right where He wanted me, with nothing left but Him.
In those dark, secret, moments with the Lord, He let me know that there are no secrets once we get to the secret place. He holds nothing back from those that are seeking after Him. Nothing. If you need an answer, ask. His answer may not come on your timetable or how you expected, but it will come.

He hides away sound and godly Wisdom and stores it for the righteous (those who are upright and in right standing with Him); He is a shield to those who walk uprightly and in integrity. Proverbs 2:7

As I bowed before the Lord on my knees, there is just something about this posture of being on your knees, He revealed to me hidden mysteries and treasures so great. God spoke to my heart and said there is nothing secret about the secret place, I just needed to get to the secret place. There, God blasted me with His presence, wisdom, understanding, dreams, and His secrets for my life.

Notice in Psalms 1 it says if we abide in the secret place we remain stable and fixed, whose power nobody can withstand! I encourage you to get to the secret place, get stable, and bask in His presence and power! It goes on to say that you can lean on, rely, and trust Him confidently! Is there a secret sin that is holding you back from living in His abundance? He is bigger than your secret sin! Do you have a secret dream buried in the vault, allow God to breathe new life into your dreams. Is your God bigger than the dream inside of you? Yes! The answer is a resounding YES!

Today, my hope for you is that you can experience the secret place. Allow Him to first, forgive you of secret sins. Let His grace wash over you. Let Him take your heavy burdens off of you, these are items you were not meant to carry in the first place. Praise Him, and as you praise Him you will begin to enter into the secret place. The Secret Place is sacred and holy. Enjoy this time with the Universe Maker and Star Breather, this One you can also call "Daddy." Allow him to reveal His secrets for your life.

There are no secrets in the secret place. You just have to get there. After you get there, dwell in the secret place for awhile.

Christian; To Be Christ Like

CHRIST LIKE

When someone says, "I'm a Christian." My first inclination has always been skepticism. Growing up it always seems the folks that pronounced it always ended up doing something completely opposite of what I thought a Christian should be, act like, or do. To this day, my flags still go up when I hear, "I'm a Christian." I am a believer in the fruits that you bear, not the words that you say, are living proof to your faith in Christ. We simply have to be a Christian, not say it, just do it.

Roman 15:5
For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ...

I have been weary of those that call themselves a Christian, which means to be like Christ, but even more so when someone who calls themself family, dear friend, or sister in Christ, and their actions are anything but Christ like. Sure, we all fail or can be spiritually immature at times and so far from Christ, that we might question our own walk.
Thank God for GREAT GRACE daily, because without it we would all be screwed. But when a close person who calls him or herself Christ-like, consistently shows you they are anything but, it may be time for you to brush your sandals off.

Lets visit how the message reads, Romans 15:3-6

That’s exactly what Jesus did. He didn’t make it easy for himself by avoiding people’s troubles, but waded right in and helped out. “I took on the troubles of the troubled,” is the way Scripture puts it. Even if it was written in Scripture long ago, you can be sure it’s written for us. God wants the combination of his steady, constant calling and warm, personal counsel in Scripture to come to characterize us, keeping us alert for whatever he will do next. May our dependably steady and warmly personal God develop maturity in you so that you get along with each other as well as Jesus gets along with us all. Then we’ll be a choir—not our voices only, but our very lives singing in harmony in a stunning anthem to the God and Father of our Master Jesus!

We are to live in harmony. Not one voice, but voices together as a choir. Walking through each others trials and victories with one another, praying for one another, walking in maturity with Him and each other daily. Not hurting one another or pretending to a true friend and slandering one another or causing strife.
What if someone you were doing life with, suddenly stopped being part of the choir? What if all the things that you walked through together, this person began to use against you and break the intimate trust and faith walk? It can be difficult enough to open your heart in the first place, but once you do and you form a bond or an intimate relationship, these things can deeply wound.

God says to ask. To seek. To knock. And He will answer. I beckon you to spend some time with the Lord and ask, who you are to do life with. Your inner circle is vitality important and needs to be protected. Sometimes people come as wolves in sheep's clothing. Seeming to be your friend, or worst a "brother or sister in Christ." Look at their fruits not their speech. What do their actions tell you? Most importantly what does God tells us to do.

Be kind to them, pray for them, but if they don't receive you, bless them, brush off your sandals and continue on your way.

People hurt, God never will. No matter what, you stay the course and continue to be like Christ. You will never have to utter the words, "I am a Christian." Your fruit and actions will say it all.

In Him
