classes, workshops, teacher trainings, and retreats. Find out more here.
A
MEDITATION FOR TWISTS, OR REVOLVED YOGA POSTURES
I
pleaded with the Lord three times for it to leave me alone. He said
to me,
“My
grace is enough for you, because power is made perfect in weakness.”
So
I’ll gladly spend my time bragging about my weaknesses so that
Christ’s power can rest on me. Therefore, I’m all right with
weaknesses, insults, disasters, harassment, and stressful situations
for the sake of Christ, because when I’m weak, then I’m strong.
I’ve
become a fool! You made me do it. Actually, I should have been
commended by you. I’m not inferior to the super-apostles in any
way, even though I’m a nonentity. The signs of an apostle were
performed among you with continuous endurance through signs, wonders,
and miracles. How were you treated worse than the other churches,
except that I myself wasn’t a financial burden on you? Forgive me
for this wrong!
Christ
isn’t weak in dealing with you but shows his power among you.
Certainly he was crucified because of weakness, but he lives by the
power of God. Certainly we also are weak in him, but we will live
together with him, because of God’s power that is directed toward
you.
Examine
yourselves to see if you are in the faith. Test yourselves.
Don’t
you understand that Jesus Christ is in you? Unless, of course, you
fail the test. But I hope that you will realize that we don’t fail
the test. We pray to God that you don’t do anything wrong, not
because we want to appear to pass the test but so that you might do
the right thing,
even if we appear to fail.
We
can’t do anything against the truth but only to help the truth.
We
are happy when we are weak but you are strong. We pray for this: that
you will be made complete. This is why I’m writing these things
while I’m away. I’m writing so that I won’t need to act harshly
when I’m with you by using the authority that the Lord gave me.
He
gave it to me so that I could build you up, not tear you down.

WE GAIN EVERYTHING WHEN WE SURRENDER ALL
Are you truly surrendered? Does something continue to keep rearing it's ugly head?
Continue to lay it down at the foot of the cross, be persistent and diligent daily.

Daily renew your mind.
Daily cast it upon Him.
Daily make the great exchange, His yoke is light.
Daily Surrender.
Surrender all.

A Meditation for Prone Postures
Prone Yoga Poses are poses done lying on our belly. They
allow us to literally "lay it all down." Surrender our will and simply throw in our towel. It is a time to rest in His presence and hear His voice. Let the silence bring you to His voice.
Cobra Pose (Bhujangasana)
Psalms
139 is an amazing chapter that you can meditate on in any posture
but specifically appropriate for lying down in His presence.
Psalms 139
O
Lord, You have searched me and known me.
You
know when I sit down and when I rise up;
You understand my thought
from afar. You scrutinize my path and my lying down,
And are
intimately acquainted with all my ways.
Even
before there is a word on my tongue,
Behold, O Lord, You know it
all. You have enclosed me behind and before,
And laid Your hand
upon me. Such
knowledge
is too wonderful for me; It is too
high,
I cannot attain to it.
Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where
can I flee from Your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, You are
there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there.
If I take
the wings of the dawn, If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea,
Even there Your hand will lead me,
And Your right hand will lay
hold of me. If I say, “Surely the darkness will overwhelm me,
And
the light around me will be night,” Even the darkness is not dark
to You, And the night is as bright as the day. Darkness and light are
alike to
You.
For
You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb.
I
will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully
made;
Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well.
My
frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret,
And
skillfully
wrought in the depths of the earth;
Your
eyes have seen my unformed substance;
And in Your book were all
written
The days that were ordained for
me,
When
as yet there was not one of them.
How precious also are Your
thoughts to me, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
If I should
count them, they would outnumber the sand.
When I awake, I am
still with You.
Search me, O God, and know my heart;
Try me and
know my anxious thoughts;
And see if there be any hurtful way in
me,
And lead me in the everlasting way.

REFINE
{ to purify }
to
bring to a fine or a pure state; free from impurities: to
refine metal, sugar, or petroleum. To
purify from what is coarse, vulgar,
The
prophet Zechariah wrote these words of the Lord“…but
a third will be left in the land I will bring that group through the
fire and make them pure, just as gold and silver are refined and
purified by fire. They will call on my name, and I will answer them.
I will say, ‘These are my people,’ and they will say, ‘The Lord
is our God.’Zech 13:8-9
1 Peter 1:7
So that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.Isaiah 48:10
Behold,
I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tried you in the
furnace of affliction.
1 Peter 5:10
And
after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has
called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore,
confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
Job 23:10
But he
knows the way that I take; when he has tried me, I shall come out as
gold.
1 Peter 1:6
In
this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you
have been grieved by various trials,
Proverbs
17:3 The
crucible is for silver, and the furnace is for gold, and the Lord
tests hearts.
