It is not how we worship, but Who we worship

John 4:23-24 (NIV)
Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his
worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.

YOGAFAITH & the Daniel Fast

SEE I AM ABOUT TO DO SOMETHING BRAND NEW,
DO YOU NOT SEE IT? DO NOT MISS IT! (IS. 43:19)

How are we to receive anything new if we don't first get rid of the old?
How can God speak to us if we cannot hear? How could we possibly hear anything He is trying to say to us if our world is so loud and cluttered?

Every year my  husband and I join in with thousands around the globe to partake on a life changing journey. We set aside 21 days, not to starve, but to feed our soul, strengthen our spirit, renew our bodies, and hear from the Lord.
We cast our vision, writing it down and making it clear. It's important to get specific why we are fasting. What are our motives for fasting? What circumstances do we need a move of God?

Last year YOGAFAITH and many other things was birthed during and after the Daniel Fast. This year I am excited for what the Lord is going to speak concerning our lives and new dreams.

Things that are important during this time:

-Set aside daily prayer, devotional, and/or journal time. Write what you need, or what you are hearing.
-Drink plenty of water, only water for a true Daniel fast.
-The first 3 days are the most difficult. Your body is detoxing and you may be tired, get a headache, or be irritable as your body is craving the sugar and chemicals it may have been receiving for so long.

-Even though we are eating, and here I will post tasty recipes, we are still fasting. It's important to not get full of give in to your taste buds.
-The sacrifice is always worth it.
-You may extend your fast to 40 days. Jesus fasted 40 days to gain back dominion and establish His power.
-Your entire being is being cleansed, renewed, and detoxed. This is not always a comfortable experience.

Fasting without prayer and meditation is just dieting. If it doesn't mean anything to you, it will not mean anything to God. The fast is for us not Him. Not to prove we are awesome Christians or to let God know we are "His special chosen disciple," it is to draw closer and allow God to be the center of everything in all our lives. What has began to take His place? The time you once spent with Him? Do you love Him like when you first encountered Him? This is a time to set aside as many distractions as possible. Fasting is going without food for spiritual reasons. You may also choose to fast programs or movies that your spirit shouldn't be absorbing, or social media that takes up time you could be spending with family or in prayer or reading the Word. Consult with the Holy Spirit if you have any questions. He will always guide you if you ask.

However, you may want to implement the Daniel Diet forever.

-Prepare your kitchen and pantry by ridding them of sugar, white stuff altogether, alcohol, chips, etc.
-Replace them with Vegetables & Fruit. (Frozen, fresh, canned, dried, etc.)
-Rice, Almond, or Unsweetened Soy milk
-Rolled Oats, Whole wheat, you may have whole wheat unleavened bread, Muesli, Oat bran, All beans, legumes, nuts, fresh and dried spice.
-No sugar, animals, (including dairy products) alcohol, sweeteners (including honey, stevia, agave nectar, sugar cane etc.) No white flour, rice, pasta.
-Basically the Daniel diet is a vegan diet so you may find vegan recipes that are sugar free for eating

Be blessed during this time!

DO YOU LIVE IN THE AWE?
Awe=to be overwhelmed with respect
Luke 5:26
Everyone was amazed and gave praise to God. They were filled with awe and said, "We have seen remarkable things today.

THE AWE OF HIS MAJESTY
THE AWE OF HIS GLORY
THE AWE OF HIS LOVE
THE AWE OF HIS HOLINESS

LIVE IN THE AWE
